– The Radio Jockeying, Anchoring, Public Speaking and Voice-overs course

Weekend Course-Saturday and Sunday:

This is a 4 weekend course, with classes being held every Saturday and Sunday (3pm to 7pm). That would make it a total of 8 days.

Weekend Course-Sundays only:

This is an 8 weekend course, with classes being held every Sunday (3pm to 7pm).

Classes would be held for smaller groups at the Sound Footing office at Jeevan Kendra Layout, off Cambridge Road, Ulsoor and at any nearby location for larger groups.

Below are the modules to be covered in the course:

• Radio Jockeying: Includes theory on Radio Jockeying in India and Bangalore in particular, avenues to become an RJ, different types of shows, script writing, mock RJing sessions, Radio station details, etc.
• Podcasting: Includes tips and tricks to effective podcasting, reach and benefits of podcasting, promoting your podcast and making a podcast channel/website.
• Audio Editing: Includes generic audio editing using free-to-use editing software and creating podcasts/voice samples/radio shows etc.
• MCing/Anchoring/Compering: Includes training on becoming an effective host, different kinds of shows, different team building activities that can be conducted (this is a huge asset for you), practical sessions (a CD will be given to you with your pics and video clips and this can be used as your profile CD), event company details, earning opportunities, etc.
• Voice-overs: Theory and practical on the exciting field of Voice-overs, avenues to earn, voice-over opportunities, voice exercises, etc
• Web Developing: Using WordPress CMS to develop your own blogs/websites. This would help in creating your own profile for MCing/RJing/Podcasting and promoting it on the World Wide Web.
• Radio Station visit: a visit to a popular radio station in Bangalore to get a first-hand experience of live radio programming and station infrastructure.
• Studio visit and demo recording: a visit to a popular recording studio to record your voice demo and also to experience real-time sound engineering.
• Motivation: Includes theory, visuals and motivational games to enhance your self-belief and motivation, which in turn would help you be a champion for life.
• Guest Lecture: by a well known FM Radio Jockey and a popular MC

Note: At the end of the course, the participants would be assessed on their learning and a certificate would be awarded accordingly. Please remember that we would also be making their show-reel at the recording studio, which can be used for applying to radio stations and for voice-over work. Also, each student will get a website with their own personal domain name, eg., www.sandeepthespeaker.com
